Coach Marvin Lewis says: “Russell was impressive on tape, and I had an opportunity to meet him at the Scouting Combine. In addition to being a big man — strong and tough — he’s one of those guys who speaks and carries himself in the manner you want to have throughout your team. Everyone at North Carolina spoke so highly of him, and we think he has the attributes we need to compete and win in our division.”

He’s No. 3: The Bengals selected Bodine with the No. 111 selection in the 2014 draft, trading Nos. 123 and 199 to Seattle to move up 12 spots in the fourth round. Only twice previously had the Bengals traded up. In 1995, Cincinnati selected HB Ki-Jana Carter with the No. 1 pick after trading Nos. 5 and 36 to Carolina. In 2002, the Bengals took TE Matt Schobel with No. 67 (third round) after trading Nos. 73 and 145 to Carolina.
