Mike Nugent returned to the building where he kicked a career-long 57-yarder in last season’s play-off game and during Thursday night’s pre-season finale he converted his first field goal try of the season on a 41-yarder that gave the Bengals a 3-0 lead over the Colts midway through the second quarter at Lucas Oil Stadium.
As his position coach, Jay Hayes is one of Devon Still’s biggest fans. As the Bengals defensive line coach, he is also supervising the most competitive group on the roster as they head into Thursday night’s pre-season finale (7-Cincinnati’s Channel 12) in Indianapolis. Earlier this week, Hayes sat in his office counting the chairs, as if reminding himself after 13 years this is quite a moment.

They are 7-1 when Jones scores a TD. But the biggest thing after “a lot of low points,” is that Jones thinks he’s back.
The Bengals got down to 75 players Tuesday morning when they moved three injured players off the roster, led by first-round pick Cedric Ogbuehi.
