Q: When does the program start?
A: The Jr. BenGals will kick off the season August 25 with a guaranteed fun event for all. The season ends with a Holiday Party in December. Parents will meet with Charlotte Simons and Julie Raleigh to go over details and dates during the August event while the Jr. BenGals will hang out with the BenGals.
Q: How many practices are included with the program?
A: We will have approximately six scheduled practices led by the BenGals, and held at Paul Brown Stadium on selected Saturdays and Sundays. The Jr. BenGals use the stadium on the weekends that the team is away.
Q: If I am returning and want to use my uniform from last year am I able to do so?
A: There will be all new uniforms provided for the 2012 season as part of your tuition.
Q: Do parents get to watch practices?
A: Parents will have the opportunity to sign up to watch at least one practice at the stadium.
Q: How do the practices work if the parents can’t stay to watch the whole time?
A: If you are not signed up to view practice, you will drop your child off and sign them in. You will be free to leave and return for pick up at end of practice. Shopping downtown, or local restaurants are a few of the popular spots on Saturday afternoons during Jr. BenGal practices.
Q: How does the Game Day performance work?
A: Each Jr. BenGal will be required to be dropped off at the North Dock (directions provided) at 9 a.m. to one of our Game Day Assistants. The Jr. BenGals will practice with the BenGals on the field for their big performance. After practice, they will go to the gym and be provided lunch and assistance in getting prepared. Game Day Assistants will escort your child to and from the restroom and be available for your child. After their pregame performance, the Jr. BenGals will be escorted to their parents' seats for the game.
Q: What events can we look forward for our Jr. BenGals involvement?
A: Community work with BenGals, Glamour Day, Picture Day at Paul Brown Stadium, Holiday Party for Jr. BenGals and families, performances at great events around the city! Not to mention, Saturdays and Sundays with friends and BenGals.
Q: What about the Summer Dance Camp?
A: Summer Dance Camp is an added bonus. Summer Dance Camp is open for Jr. BenGals and friends. It is not necessary to be a Jr. BenGal in order to attend camp. For a fee of $75, Dance Camp will be held July 30-August 2 at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Patrol Headquarters with the BenGals teaching the latest moves. Each evening will be a surprise adventure from 6-8 p.m.
